Breed: Mixed breed

Sex: Female

Age: Adult

Size: Medium

Color: Brindle

Coat: Smooth

Notes: August 1st: Papers were signed and tears were shed as Sparsy and her new dad hit the road! As you can see, she has acclimated to her new life very well. She has a mom and dad that call her their "cave princess," a human brother who provides endless cuddles, and a canine sister who is also a rescue.

A group of professional cavers decided to venture down into the cave near Mill Creek, Narrows. During their descent, they discovered a dog had fallen 50 feet into the cave. She was there alone in total darkness. Some call it fate, some call it luck, but this was nothing short of a miracle. Over the course of 3 hours, the cavers above worked to safely bring her back to the surface. Jesse spent this time gaining her trust so he could strap her to his chest and begin their ascension together. Once they reached the surface, she was rushed to Virginia Tech's Vet School. After numerous tests and X-rays, miraculously she had NO BROKEN BONES!

Her hero Jesse came by and has named her Sparsy (AKA SPAR-C; Small Party Assisted Rescue - Canine). Thank you to the CaveSim team for going above and beyond to save this dogs life.
